I have visited the Seacroft on many occasions and have always been very pleased with the service and quality of food. I visited Jan, Feb & March this year when the 241 offer was on. This was usually in large groups with family and friends and when the restaurant was busy and always received great service hence why I returned and also recommended the place to others.
I phoned them last week to confirm the 241 offer was on today and if they served Sunday lunch - the member of staff who answered the phone didn't seem to have much confidence and was very unsure on all the questions I asked! I was advised that Sunday lunch may be on the specials board but would depend on how the chef felt on the morning!
Well our visit today was awful (a family group of 10) - the worst service I have ever received from a restaurant. Even though they were not busy - we were the only ones there when we arrived. Beware of The 241 offer as the conditions to use it have changed and the staff are very unhelpful and will not give you best advice on how to use it! We were made to feel very unwelcome and our business was not wanted. Well we will never return especially when you have The White Eagle close by - their food and customer service is excellent.
The member of staff that has always been extremely helpful in the past has apparently left - I wonder why???? Maybe she realised the place was going downhill.
