“Fabulous place and excellent value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

My partner and I spent a fantastic long weekend at Driftwood. The welcome from Wendy and Rachel could not have been friendlier. The room was beautiful and the view over the bay was stunning. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities excellent. There were some lovely extra touches in the room like the homemade cakes, fresh milk and binoculars to view the wildlife from the window. The breakfast was also very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We are sure all the rooms are fabulous but as we stayed in "sunset" and were so impressed...

It was pampering with a capital "P". We were met by Rachel and made to feel so special. There was homemade shortbread in our room along with tea making facilities, and none of those awful sachets of milk but a little flask of fresh milk. My daughter in law had asked them to put flowers and chocolates in our room which added to our pampering. We had the sunset room, with a lovely comfy chair so that we could look out to sea, and they had even put a pair of binoculars for our added enjoyment. The beds were luxurious, as was the breakfast in the morning. It was a wonderful experience. If you want a treat, stay at "Driftwood".

Rachel and Wendy are the perfect hosts in a picture perfect location for walking relaxing and eating good food. Wendy's breakfast and her home baked cakes are fabulous.
A warm and friendly welcome where nothing is too much trouble for their guests. Our room was immaculate, decorated beautifully. Wifi, TV, hair dryer and tea and coffee making kit are all provided, with a different tasty treat each day. We will be visiting again in the near future. Rhosneigr is a stunning location and and the beach is only minutes from Driftwood. The only complaint we have is that our stay was over all too soon.

Very welcoming bed and breakfast and great decor but my partner and I paid £80 for the night when you can't check in until 6pm and check out is at 10am. In every other place we have stayed it has always been around a 2pm check in and midday check out. Booking in at 6pm gives you no time to get ready for the evening ahead and checking out at 10am gives you no time to get your stuff together and relax a bit after the breakfast. Then again, one sausage, one rasher of bacon, one egg and 3 mushrooms doesn't really give you the need to relax.

Thank you for your review. We were really surprised to hear that you were disappointed with our check-in times as we had previously agreed with you that an earlier check-in time of 4pm was absolutely fine and we were looking forward to seeing you then. Our check-in times are 5-6pm but as we state on all our email confirmations, we are happy to make other arrangements if this doesn't suit.

We pride ourselves on offering a locally sourced, freshly cooked breakfast. We buy our meat from an award winning butcher and our Welsh breakfast consists of egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, fresh mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, beans on request and a choice of fried bread or toast. We cook our eggs to our guests liking (fried, poached or boiled) and are always happy to supply extra items on request. We wish you had mentioned this at the time. All this information is on our menu on the breakfast tables for our guests to choose from.

Driftwood....a great place to stay in Rhosneigr! My room 'Beach Hut' was calming and cosy! A warm welcome from the friendly hosts Wendy and Rachel, a great sleep and an excellent breakfast. Im looking forward to my return in summer when it will be warm enough to surf! Highly reccommended to anyone visiting Anglesey! : )

Room Tip: Beach Hut was a fantastic family room....my two children had a lovely bunk bed!

The Driftwood bed and breakfast home is delightful; Clean, fresh rooms and a great breakfast to start the day with. Wendy and Rachel make the perfect hosts for a perfect break.

The village locals are really friendly and welcoming with a great choice of places to eat within walking distance, Sandy's Bistro is a must for good food lovers. We will definitely be back next time we are racing at Anglesey.

Room Tip: We stayed with friends and from what we could see all the rooms looked good.
