We probably turned up at the wrong time or the wrong day cause we caught this team on the hop. Given a table and then moved to a dirty table with previous dishes still uncleared just as our meal arrived, the excuse that they were under pressure and token adjustment would be made on the bill. We enjoyed the fish n chips a large country portion. The mutton stew was a large disgusting over boiled mess topped with sliced potatoes and rock hard cobblers
that was returned to the culprit who boiled it up. A good bara brith with decent custard and a poor expresso. What a mixed up place. It did amuse us and the good points were great so we will return. The massive reduction in the bill helped.
