We were eager to return to The White Eagle having really enjoyed our last visit last Autumn. The food and service certainly didn't disappoint. The standards were just as high as they were on our last visit. The only difference I could comment on was the general look of the place, in particular the high stack of half a dozen highchairs in our line of vision. We couldn't understand why these were given such a central position in the restaurant area as looking around we saw a number of nooks in which they could have been stored. Child friendly is great but when dogs have to sit out of the way in the snug - can't really understand this, by the way - we think that it shouldn't be overplayed.
