Well having just got home from what we can only descibe as the BEST long break we have ever experienced... at siop y rhos . We had the most warm welcome from steven & catherine and made it feel like home. Our room were more than spacious very clean and well maintained to a very high standard. The bathroom had a powershower and was a perfect size for our needs. As for the tremendious full english breakfast and the most deliteful ground coffee which set us up for the day. Catherine and steven would also offer you a range of fruits ,cereal fruit juice ..ect and they would cater any special request. The location of siop y rhos was on the main route to the whole island so we found it easy to travel around the island via car . There was easy acces to the beach from siop y rhos 15 min strole. But if you are not a beach person you can take in the view from your own room or from the front of the prestage garden as we loved doing every morning.
Cathrine and steven were very knowledgeable about the island and recommend the best food places and hot spots to visit to get a full experance of the island and what anglsey has to offer and was not dissipointed by there recommendations. To the point of booking our taxis of the evening to make our anniversey that little bit more relaxed . I cant praise siop y rhos enough for the fantastic experience and hospitality and we look forward to see you both next year as we will be booking for our birthdays. Thanks again for a break to never forget x x x

All I can say is - you were both an absolute delight and pleasure to meet. From the very first moment you were so thrilled with Siop y Rhos, and the fact that you had access to a pub with fantastic beer on tap, and some of the very best restaurants the island has to offer, meant that your wedding anniversary turned out a huge success. For our part, it was really lovely meeting you both, and we could've talked to you all day - other than needing to service the rooms and get the fresh food in for the breakfasts next morning of course. We hope that you come back for your second wedding anniversary.

We have only just returned from our two night stay Siop Y Rhos and are both so very pleased that we found this lovely bed and breakfast in a peaceful location just off the coastal path with such fabulous hosts, Catherine and Steven.

Firstly this must be one of the most genuine, warm, friendly and welcoming arrival we have ever had upon checking in to any accommodation, we have been to numerous over the years; Catherine and Steven await with such enthusiasm for their guests arrival and it was obvious that they were genuinely pleased to meet us and wanted us to enjoy their hospitality. We were treated like friends from the outset. This continued throughout our most enjoyable stay to the time we had to reluctantly go home and we both left with warm hearts, having been influenced by Catherine and Steven's lovely natures.
We were asked about whether were we warm enough a few times during our cosy and comfortable stay; I do have cold and hands and feet 99% of the time and have liked my heart thawed out well and truly!

After a personal recommendation off the breakfast menu (of which we can also recommend all that we sampled!) Catherine offered to go shopping for us to purchase a Welshblack Black Pudding so that we may take some home with us. I am reliably informed that it is really nice and there is only half left last time I checked :-)

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor in a vey immaculately clean and comfortable room with its own en-suit...

Well, 'flippin heck'! Thank you so very much, and may we return the compliment by saying that you were two lovely people. Steven and I both meant what we said about having a go in the sea kayak next time you come (weather permitting of course - unless you'd like to meet Prince William's new replacement in the Seaking Helicopter). It would be lovely to have you return, and we are immensely pleased that you enjoyed it so much. See you next time :)

I stayed with my 2 young children (6 & 4 yrs old) for 3 nights in August 2013. The accommodation was just gorgeous and had been totally renovated. Catherine and Stephen were lovely hosts, with nothing being too much trouble to help us have a great stay. I loved the top quality mattress and slept very well indeed. We all had the most delicious pancakes made for us every morning by Stephen, straight off the Aga. It all added up to a very welcoming and chilled out stay. We will definitely be returning in summer 2014!

Thank you for your lovely review. We hope that your house sale & purchase goes smoothly, and the impending arrival of your third little one doesn't happen until you're ensconced and unpacked into your new home in Devon. I will personally hold you to that promise of coming back, and I will babysit whilst you put your feet up. I simply can't wait for grandchildren so in the meantime Im happy to practice on yours ;). Steven says to tell you to remember to take care of yourself and not to work to hard - so put your feet up lady and relax!

What a fantastic welcome we had and in a fabulously renovated farm house. Fantastically presented, right from the first impression as we drove up the driveway - the lounge was lovely - we didn't stay long enough to use it, the comfortable and light breakfast area and our room which had all those little details (basically – everything you can think of and more!) which make Siop y Rhos a cut above the rest. We’ve just come home from a night’s stay here at Catherine and Steven’s and are truly impressed by their warmth and hospitality. We were on the Island for a wedding party and were running really late with our unwrapped present for the Bride and Groom when we arrived to check in. After greeting us so pleasantly (like we’ve known each other for years) – Catherine could see I was stressed, so swiftly offered to wrap it while we got changed in time for the taxi we’d booked by their recommendation (Jane’s Taxis – who were also great).
After a good night’s sleep in the comfy bed, we experienced the best breakfast we’ve ever had made for us.
We really enjoyed talking to them after breakfast and departed feeling we’d made new friends.
Recommending to friends and family just didn’t feel like enough so I had to write a review – so please do not hesitate to stay here – just make sure you stay longer than we did so you can experience it all. ENJOY!
A real big thank you to both Catherine and Steve for making our stay so special.

Aha! Our lovely couple on last minutes for a wedding in Benllech! You too, both of you, are a lovely couple - I particularly loved your shoes and intend to stretch my feet so that your shoes will fit me when you no longer want them. We know it seems daft, but Steven and I felt like we had known you forever, and simple things like wrapping a present cost nothing but can mean the world. We are so glad that you chose Siop y Rhos to come and stay for the wedding, and only hope that you choose to come and stay with us again - that's if your hubbie can get time off from milking :)

We stayed one night in August but wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts Catherine & Stephen were so welcoming, meeting us as soon as we got out of the car showing us to our beautiful room on the top floor overlooking the sea the view was fantastic. The room was spotless the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding with so much choice, and everything was cooked to perfection. But the icing on the cake for us was the hospitality and the warmness of our hosts we felt like we were part of their family when we left and we will definitely return without a doubt.

Oh my word! Thank you, thank you! Such lovely words, and you were such lovely people. We've said it time and again. People tend to arrive as guests and leave as friends, although some leave a more lasting impression. Steven and I thoroughly enjoyed you staying with us, and loved the opportunities we had to talk with you. You must come and stay again - please.

We stopped here for a night on the way to Holyhead. Despite a very late arrival Catherine & Stephen were fantastic and welcomed us as friends rather than paying guests making us tea & cake and ensuring we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble.
The room was very clean & comfy, having a sitting room to relax in was great especially after our long journey from Kent. Breakfast next morning was huge!! Delicious pancakes and smoked salmon & scrambled eggs set us up beautifully for the ferry crossing to Ireland.
We would highly recommend sampling Catherine & Stephen's hospitality, we were sorry not to have longer to enjoy exploring the locale which is stunning. We hope to return!

And we both hope you return too! Steven and I always try to understand what our guests are coming to Anglesey for, and what they are looking to do whilst they here (even if it is simply an overnight stop before catching the ferry in the morning). That way we can ensure that anything we can do to help everything go smoothly happens. After all, a happy guest is a returning friend!

A very special thank you to both Catherine & Steven for their kind hospitality during our recent stay at Siop y Rhos. This was our first trip to Anglesey and I can say it exceeded all expectations, beautiful, clean, modern room and ample choice of foods at breakfast. Extremely welcoming hosts who ensured our visit was very enjoyable. Siop y Rhos is a hidden gem and has a beautiful beach (Lligwy) on its doorstep. We would definitely recommend staying at Siop y Rhos for what can only be described as an "unforgettable" break for all the right reasons......idyllic !!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We remember you and your family well, especially as this is an extremely stressful time for all your family, a time that you will need all the support and love around that you can. Steven and I were only to happy to provide you with peace and quiet, a place to unwind and relax and leave the worries and strains in the cupboard for a few days. It was truly lovely to meet you, and we would like to offer our support to you all in the hard times you have to come.
