“Go out of your way to dine at Sosban!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2015 NEW

Hosted by a husband and wife team, this really is exquisite food cooked and served with love, the old fashioned way.

Chef decides what you eat, and everyone eats the same so, unless you're fussy, it's a culinary magical mystery tour, and a lot of fun.

Located in an old butchers shop, with charming antique tiles on the walls displaying country scenes, the feeling is more of dining in a quaint living room than a shop.

A series of well chosen small dishes, one of our party was disappointed that a 'main' course never materialised, so was left wanting more.

Nevertheless, go out of your way to dine in Sosban. You'll be glad you did.

“Perfect evening.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2015

Sosban exceeded all our expectations. After reading such fantastic reviews we had high hopes of an extraordinary dining experience. This is what we had!!

Each course was beautifully presented and tasted out of this world, accompanied by lovely and reasonably priced wine.

We waited 8 weeks for a table, and we'll most definitely be booking again soon for a table in july.

Diolch yn fawr.

“A fantastic dining venue that should be on everyone's 'to visit' list.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2015

This was our second visit to Sosban, one that we had been looking forward to for a long time.

The décor and layout is elegant without pretention and Bethan, who manages the front-of-house operations with warmth and happy professionalism, greeted us and showed us to our table.

Coming here is an event, it is special and you are paying for the privilege of a range courses which have been expertly and skilfully composed purely for your pleasure.

There is no choice in the menu, but nor should there be - this isn't the place to come for a 'starter-main-desert' meal. It is so much more than that and it's sad to see people who don't understand the skill involved and the format of the evening marking Sosban down.

Anyone, anywhere who loves amazing food should have Sosban high on their list of places to visit.

“Fab food and dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2015

Lovely ambience. Fantastic food and fair price for wine. Would dine there again. Have tried to book twice and got lucky this weekend. Very talented chef to tempt me to eat ox cheek. Kale with Caesar dressing and Parmesan snow was incredible and the lemon and honeycomb dessert served in a real eggshell was divine. But don't do what I did and test if the shell was real! It is!

“Stunning!! Fabulous food and wine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2015

A wonderful night filled will gorgeous tasty food prepared by such a talented team who make you try things you would never think to try. The chicken oysters with smoked artichoke were delicious, the braised ox cheek was stunning (not sure what the previous reviewer is going on about?!) The starters were perfect and really got our taste buds excited! To end with the deserts were gorgeous! What beautiful flavours!! To finish coffee and delicious truffles. A really amazing find in such a lovely little town. anyone staying in north wales/Anglesey needs to visit this place, not only fantastic food, very nice wine, and lovely people and service.
