“Tranquil Surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Found this walk online before holidaying in Anglesey.Arrived at The Dingle Car Park which was only £1 for 4 hours which was fantastic.Boardwalks were a brilliant way to get around and good signage. Also very clean and tidy.Such a pretty walk to the Afon Cefni Reservoir.Would definitely return again.

“A Pretty Woodland Walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Next to a car park in the centre of LLangefni there are some woods which run along the banks of the river Cefni. The Council have turned these into a local nature reserve. The result is well executed and rather pleasant. It is primarily a local facility rather than a tourist attraction and as such is far from crowded. Extensive boardwalks make the site accessible to those using wheels while retaining the proximity of the trees, giving the feeling of a woodland walk. Quaint wooden sculptures with mythological themes emerge entertainingly from among the trees. The cleared tracks of an abandoned railway line appear out of the wood in places. Do not count on finding any particular flora or fauna - you might find red squirrels or bluebells but it will take timing and luck. The path finally emerges from the trees at Cefni Reservoir.

“Very disappointing due to dog fowling and rubbish!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Having never posted a Trip advisor review before, I felt compelled to offer our experience after a very disappointing visit to the Dingle. After reading the many positive reviews about this nature reserve, my family and I decided to visit. The reserve is a lovely, part boardwalk stroll through woodland. It passes over streams and through lovely wooded glades. HOWEVER, the whole experience was completely spoilt by the amount of dog poo we had to try and avoid. It was everywhere we walked! In addition to this, there was rubbish strewn all over - plastic bottles, takeaway cartons etc. We passed many dog walkers, none of whom were carrying plastic bags or any sort of 'scooper' to clear up their dogs mess. The regulars who frequent this place quite obviously have no respect for the beautiful place it could be, or the many visitors to the area. It was described as a 'nature reserve' but the only wildlife we saw were some ducks and a rat! There was also lots of broken glass in the more grassy areas of the 'reserve' It was a shame to see what could be a lovely walk absolutely ruined by uncaring individuals, who quite clearly do not have any standards.

“Lovely place to walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

This is quite a pretty little place in the middle of Llangefni and very popular with dog walkers. You need to explore to find the prettier places but it can feel a little isolated if you're a female walking on your own.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

After reading reviews on here we went. Never saw a king fisher, never saw a red squirrel. The walk is fine, a bit dark, dirty filthy water in the ponds. The worse part was trying to avoid the dog poo in the middle of the path....disgusting. Parking right next to it £1.
