Hotel was a little tired, but pleasant. Stayed in an Executive Double. Room was large and clean, but shower was tied together with plastic ties as catch had broken so couldn't adjust height. One of the light bulbs was out so had to shower in the dark. Staff were a little officious. and a bit abrupt. Food was ok but had to ask for condiments. If you wanted any sauces with your breakfast or dinner, you would have to catch staff before they rushed off. Not the best service or hotel I have ever stayed in.

Room Tip: Choose one at the back of the hotel so you don't get noise from traffic.

This was my 3rd visit to the hotel, the staff always go out of their way to be helpful, when I've rung to book a room and on arrival. I have been given tips on where to go on the island and have been very touched by the kindness shown to me here. This is not a luxury hotel but the staff are first class and work extremely hard to ensure you have a good stay. Each time I've visited its been a pleasure to speak to Emrys who has been on the reception desk. Thank you to all the staff here.

This is a well located hotel/pub/restaurant in the middle of Anglesey. The accommodation is a little tired but the food is good and the welcome friendly.
On site parking is limited so be early to get a place at busy periods.

Room Tip: The rooms in the courtyard are private and quiet.

First night - no sleep at all in a very tired and slightly grubby room, shower didn't work, although bedding crisp and clean. The room was over the bar, next to the infamous clock and there were boy racers late into the evening, lorries early in the morning. Moved to a courtyard room - bit better but noise from slamming car doors and other guests having late night/early morning conversations outside the window. Breakfast very basic, cereal and full Welsh, no fruit etc. One evening meal, nothing special. Felt the place was over-priced. Went to the Antelope other side of Menai Bridge for good value, tasy meals. Would not stay here again.

A great lunch on a wet Wednesday in half term. Service was Prompt and attentive and the food, whilst standard pub fodder had chips to die for. A really good lunch and good value too!

We only stayed for one night and that is ok. The room was on the main building and was typical English (welsh). It was clean but a bit tired. No double glazing therefor you could still hear all the noises from the street and yes the boy racers are still around.
We had a meal in the restaurant and we weren't impressed. My fish is caught from the freezer and was overcooked. They love their veggies as no less then 4 different vegs were on the plate. My partners chips were quite soggy and his medium steak was well done. But as we were quite hungry and it took 45 min to arrive we didn't send it back. Still lot to learn in this area.

Main issue with room was the toilet above. When flushed you think you have the Victoria falls in your room. Unfortunately the people above us were rather attached to the toilet.

Breakfast was good. Well served and quick.

6 went for Birthday Dinner - food was good and staff were attentive. The room could do with refurbishing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat out.
