We have camped on this site a few times now, and it's always a pleasure.
Located at the edge of the sea in Benllech, Anglesey, the campsite commands wonderful views across the bay towards Llandudno.
The camping fields have no designated pitches, and the site operates a first come, first served policy, so you can't guarantee you'll get a pitch, however we've never experienced any problems. The only downside to turning up later on a Friday night, is that you may not get the prime areas of the fields and may end up a bit squashed in. Nonetheless, we've never been disappointed.

From the bottom of the site you can make your way onto the rocky shoreline to enjoy views of the sea or go fishing, but don't expect to be making any sandcastles unless you're willing to walk!

Overall, Golden Sunset is a brilliant site, and we wouldn't hesitate in visiting again in the future for a weekend away, on the sunny isle of Anglesey!
Oh, and FYI, don't forget to ask for the warden's telephone number, in case you need it in the night - for some reason they don't provide it with your campsite literature, so always best to get hold of it before night falls, just in case!
Get to the site as early as you can on a Friday so you can grab the better pitches! The longer you l...
