“November break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Stayed in the hotel 5 nights on an autumn break to Anglesey. Beaumaris itself if a lovely town with excellent individual shops and cafes/tea rooms/restaurants. We had a comfortable room overlooking the main street, staff very welcoming and helpful. Only complaint was that the bed was only a standard double. The food in the hotel was excellent, a good cooked breakfast (choice of fruit would have been nice). We ate in the hotel on 3 evenings and had excellent food. A very varied menu, plenty of choice and the food was excellent. Great value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Went to Beaumaris for a furneral and stayed over night at Liverpool Arms Hotel. The room was large with a kingsize bed and very warm and comfortable A1. The food was off a very high standard and the Breakfast presentation was excellent, and from all local products. The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend if in Beaumaris try it if only for its food.

Room Tip: Room 3 was my room A1+++

Stayed one night last November, great value for money and the breakfast was very good. You have to ask a reception to get an evening meal which was really nice . My wife had lamb shank and i had a mixed grill. My only complaint BEING I WAS TOO FULL TO HAVE A GOOD DRINK AFTER.

We took a last minute break here in December of last year. It was my birthday and we love Anglesey but had never thought of heading there in the winter. We are so glad we did. This hotel has the feel of a lovely house, the pub downstairs is busy but not too loud, was welcoming and the food was great for the cost. There are many things around the place, interesting pictures and items from old ships etc all dotted around the place. The bedroom was lovely. A massive wooden sleigh bed with the twinkling Christmas lights outside the window we were really comfortable and had a great couple of nights sleep. We found the place on Laterooms.com and got a couple of nights B&B for very good value, with parking out the back and a room leaving nothing needed, we were very pleased. There are some lovely pubs with nice real ales and whiskeys and real fires, great for winter time. There was also a great bus service, we headed into Bangor one evening for just a couple of pounds on a local bus. Our favourite butchers who visits our local Farmers Market on the Wirral has a shop opposite and it was great to pick up some treats to take home at the end of the weekend. There is also a great ice-cream shop and some lovely art gallery/shops also. I had completely forgotten to review this place when we returned, but have just decided to book again for my birthday this year and thought it would be good to share how much of a lovely gem this place really is. Looking forward to our return in December. Oh yes, and the breakfast was delicious!

We had a Sunday carvery meal at this hotel and found the food to be ok, very good for the price. All the staff were extremely friendly especially catering for us with 4 children. Good value for money and child friendly.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

We stayed at the Liverpool Arms for two nights, on the outside it's a beautiful historical building, and the pub itself is full of atmosphere; a nautical theme running throughout. The room that we stayed in however, was in need of renovation; the bathroom was carpeted - threadbare in parts and looked like it had seen better days. The paintwork was worn and chipped in parts, and the room itself was in need of a good clean.

The service however we found to be very good, and the breakfast was excellent. In all, it's worth checking out to sample the atmosphere of a great pub which offers good service, but they need to renovate and up date the rooms.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are more basic, and may not have a good view.
