“A NICE WARM WELCOME”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

Stayed for one night over the weekend on a golf trip with 7 others. We were made to feel most welcome by all the staff, the rooms were clean and warm and the evening meal was excellent. This was followed by nice evening at the bar with a few games of pool and darts. The breakfast the following morning was lovely. We played 2 rounds of golf at Bull Bay Golf Club (Fantastic Course) This was our 4th year staying here and it is a great value golfing break. All this for £77!!!!! (Winter rates) I think the summer rates start on 1st April.

Room Tip: room 1 is very nice

Called in for lunch and we ate in the Hotel bar. The hotel was clean and tidy with good décor and the staff were very friendly. We had to wait a little while for the food, but it came freshly cooked, with ample portions and good quality for pub food. The chicken and bacon salad was excellent. Didn't have pudding as too full.
Overall a good place for a lunch right next to the bay.

This hotel is its own place, own atmosphere, and not a clone of sophisticated places. I frequently stay to break the car journey between Ireland and England, and the drive from the A5, about half hour, is well worth it for a stay here. The rooms are clean, ensuit, decently equipped, and with excellent views of the stunning location in which the hotel is situated. The staff are extremely helpful, the food is tasty, well prepared and well presented. There are not the latest gadgets, and there is a sense of time past, and because of this, Bull Bay Hotel makes for an excellent rest, a good journey break, and a great place for exploration around Angelsea, as well as a break after a ferry journey. I wish to thank the owners and staff for recognising me each time I turn up, and extending a great welcome.

I have just arrived home after spending 2 nights at the Bull Bay Hotel, i was sad to leave. From arrival to departure this solo female guest felt invited into the fold of wonderful, warm people. The hotel was very clean, my room has a spectacular view, lovely deep bath, comfortable, cosy bed. The food was a feast for the eyes and tantalizing to the taste-buds. On New Years Eve there was a buffet for all and fab firework display. The location for me was perfect. The local patrons in the bar are friendly and interesting.A brilliant place to begin my New Year. Thank you to the Hosts and everyone. I am left only wondering how soon i can return and for how long.

We stayed in room nu 3 (would recommend :) ) in Dec along with a large party and I have to say from the minute we walked in the ambiance and the warm welcome was fabulous! Both Calvin and Sarah the owners could not do enough to make everyone feel so welcome. They were very courteous and extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. It was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. We went for a meal in a restaurant called 'Little Italy' just further along the bay and again I would recommend this:) The meal was wonderful and Dale the chef justly deserves the reputation this establishment is building; and the staff again very professional. Without a doubt would recommend both this hotel and the restaurant this for everyone.

Room Tip: Room 3 is beautiful with a four poster bed and stunning views of the whole of the bay!

We stayed at Bull Bay hotel this weekend. When we arrived we were welcomed in by a friendly hotel manager. The hotel, resturant and bar are all spotless. Our room was stunning and very spacious, with gorgeous veiws of the bay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. During our visit we went to a resturant in Amlwch called little Italy, its an Italian themed resturant hence the name. The food is very authentic. Once again both establishments are highly recommended

Stayed in Bull Bay hotel a few days ago and it was lovely! Only stayed one night as my partner wanted to play golf nearby at Bull Bay golf course. It is very quiet and peaceful. When we arrived, the manager was lovely, showed us up to our rooms and showed us in. The room was lovely with nice views across the bay and it was quite big. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and lots of hot water for a bath/shower. We didn't eat in the hotel at night as we went to Beaumaris. When we arrived back at 10pm we were greeted with a smile by the manager and asked what we would like for breakfast whilst getting a drink. We chatted to the manager later on and she was so nice and down to earth, very helpful on places to visit and how to get there etc. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to just how you like it.
Overall, a great stay with a lovely room and service with a smile. Will be back next year! Thankyou!

Room Tip: Room 3 had lovely views across the bay.
