We were that impressed with the service and attitude of Andy and heulwen brilliant folk. They have worked hard to make a home from home. We enjoyed the break so much we are back in September for a 4 day break. Enjoy your peaceful stay here and appreciate the location and the great hosts.

If Heiniken did guest houses, they still wouldn't be better than Heulwen.
Stayed 4 years running for long weekends. Coed y Brenin just down the road. Facilities for washing & storing bikes, comfy rooms, great food, very friendly people and reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for more.

We've been coming back to stay with Heulwen and Andy for a few years with good reason - the guesthouse is in a stunning location with fantastic views up to Cader Idris, and the welcome is absolutely first class. There's nothing better than sitting on the terrace, soaking up the view and enjoying a beer before one of Heulwen's scrumptious home-cooked dinners. It's only a short trip to lots of great mountain biking at Coed y Brenin, so secure bike storage is a welcome extra.

This has to be one of the best Guest houses in Wales, offering one of the best all round service for a great price and the cooked breakfast has to be one of the best I have had for a long time, with great free range eggs, local bacon and sausages.
The rooms are comfy, the whole place is very chilling, just what you need after a long day biking.

We arrived early and were given the option of rooms to stay in and so we chose the double with french doors opening out to a stunning view of the remote landscape. The rooms are very spacious and clean with all necessary amenities. The proprieters were lovely and happy to help in any way. We had a very comfortable night and enjoyed a basic but tasty breakfast. As there is no restaraunt facilities we drove 5/10mins into Dolgellau to dine- there were several good options available in this historic town and we enjoyed walking around the magnificent walls after dinner. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

This place is excellent. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Hosts are friendly, helpful and most importantly understand customer service. Breakfast is filling, well cooked and served with a smile. I would like to critisise some minor aspects to give the hosts an opportunity to improve but for me Andy and Heulwen do nothing wrong. A perfect stay.

We absolutely love Heulwen and Andy's guest house! The rooms are comfy, the view and surroundings peaceful, the cooking marvellous (I would venture to say that it is one of the best places to eat at). We have been returning (generally once a year) since about 2005 I think.
