My partner and I braved the cold and camped here for three nights in March. The location is truly stunning. We were lucky enough to have visited whilst all of the hills were covered in snow but there was sun and dry ground, it was beautiful. The beaches were great for walking and checking out the shells and pebbles.
It looked far more like New Zealand than Wales! Opening the tent in the morning to snow capped mountains, sand dunes and a gorgeous beach is just, bizarre!
Really handy little supermarket on site and camping store. Barmouth town is a nice place to wander around and have an ice cream from KnickerBocker's!
We absolutely loved it, although I will say that the field toilet facilities were a bit of a let down and the staff were very unfriendly..not what you expect from a Welsh campsite. Showers were fine and great to have warm running water for pot washing!
Hire a few people who care and this place would be the best in the country.
