“Golf trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

As a party of senior golfers, we took over the whole hotel. From making our booking and throughout our stay, everything was excellent. The quality of the rooms, the decor, the sea views from the front rooms and the breakfasts were first class. We will definitely be coming back. Many thanks to Mike who made us all feel so welcome.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have great sea views. Some en-suites have showers while others have baths.

Stayed here before in early 2008. Decided to stay again as I remembered vaguely what it was like. Was not disappointed! I booked for a Thursday evening but had to re-arrange due to work being put back a few days. No problems with re-arranging the rooms for me and my colleague over the internet. Stayed for just the one night in a sea view room on business and was chuffed to bits! Shower lovely hot water, bed very comfy and the breakfast, well lets just say I could of eaten it twice over! As for previous posts about the bar being unmanned, well that's how it's supposed to be! You help yourself and its based on honesty. So if you fancy a couple of bottles of beer, fine, help yourself but remember to put it on your tab. Not many places in this day and age where people base things on honesty. A+ 10/10 THERE REALLY IS NO WHERE ELSE TO STAY IN ABERSOCH!

Mike and Lynne and great hosts, really make an effort to make you feel welcome. Location is superb, 2 mins walk from the centre of Abersoch, 5 mins walk from the beach. breakfast was excellent, wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we return. Thanks

Revisited the Egryn in Aug 2012 for a much needed family break.
It was even the same room - much to my daughters delight.
Warm, friendly, wonderful, the perfect place to relax & refresh after a hard day at the beach...we love it there!

Myself and husband stayed two nights here in a very comfortable sea-view room. There was a single bed and a pull-out also so there was plenty of room as a family bedroom. Breakfasts were excellent with a lovely young lady waiting on us. The restaurant closed for evening meals on Saturday 27th October for the winter so am unable to pass comment on this.Would definitely stay there again. The Egryn is licensed - just help yourself from the bar and make a note of it and pay when leaving!

Room Tip: I can only comment on room no 6 - good size with a lovely seaview. There is no soundproofing so can...

Stayed here with a group of friends recently and would highly recommend this hotel. The owners made us feel very welcome and the rooms were all immaculately clean and bright. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and there was a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Abersoch is a very pleasant village and The Egryn was ideally situated only a short stroll to the beach and the local pubs.We will certainly be returning to this accommodation again.

We only stayed for one night in room 6 upstairs even though the room and beds were small for the 3 of us we really enjoyed our stay. Mike met us and gave us a warm welcome. It is only a short stroll to a number of eating places. Breakfast is great! Abersoch is a lovely little village on the water. Would come back.
