“Consistent friendly good service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

We are regular customers at the queens and feel compelled to put on record our gratitude and and thanks for the consistent excellent friendly service and great food. The pub always provides a genuine and warm welcome, friendly good banter with Linda at the bar. The food is always lovely and value for money. If you haven't Ben there take the time to call in, you won't be disappointed.

“sunday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

I visited the queens head on sunday 20th of October. I was feeling lazy and couldn't be bothered cooking, so I thought that I would give the sunday lunch at the queens a try. I opted for the traditional roast beef dinner. service was very fast and I didn't have to wait long to be served a piping hot meal. the beef was so tender you didn't need teeth to chew it, it just melted in the mouth. served with the usual array of vegetables and gravy it was the perfect portion for my appetite. washed down afterwards with a pint of very tasty hobgoblin beer, this was the perfect sunday lunch. well worth a try.

“monday night is curry night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

on a Monday evening at the queens head, chester road, mold, it is curry night.advertised on bill boards outside the pub, at £5.25 for a curry and a free pint. too good to be true... not a bit of it.8 of us pre booked a table for last night, and it's just as well we did, because the place was packed out. not a seat to be had. not hard to see why either. a lovely choice of curries, including vegetarian options, starting at a nice mild korma through to the aptly named "cut throat curry". if you can manage this one, you get your photo taken for posterity, and a certificate to prove your achievement.my colleagues and myself all opted for the mid range jalfrezi, which was excellent. 8 hungry fellas, and not one complaint about the service or the quality of the food. will definitely be back for more.

“Good Food, nice Pub and helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is the thrid time we've eaten at this pub and the food was excellent as usual. The staff are friendly, helpful and make sure you are happy with the meal and the wine or beer. We have taken friends for a meal there and they were impressed too. Prices are reasonable and I wish this Pub the success it deserves.
