“Great fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2012

Some of the comments on here arnt true this is a lovely chippy with everything cooked fresh for you, which you struggle to get these days its everywhere else i go they want to sell you 2 day old food out of the warmer. Its hard to find nice good sized fish but karls has it and at a good price too. Other places will struggle to beat it.

“The best.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

Karls has been around since I was a kid when fish chips and peas cost two and six ,around about fifteen pence now but the quality and size of portions has allways been their forte and still is to this day.

“James' fish bar is better.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

James fish bar is better. better portions, better price. more choice. I've only visited this place once or twice over the past 10 years or so, and theres a reason for that.

“Best fish and chip shop ever visited”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2011

When I moved to Prestatyn I had terrible experiences of poor fish and chips.Found Karls it is spotlessy clean, everything on show. Superb choice of fish/ meal deals. Fish top quality ,all fish not greasy batter. The cafe and service is excellent value for money. Food is always cooked when required not stacked up anddeteriorating, Staff always clean and helpful. I recommend Karls to everyone , my friend from Manchester even buys the Fish/chips to take home to reheat... Says the best she's ever eaten from all over gt Britain..trust my review can't see how anyone could write a bad review ... No smell of stale oil. If you are there late you will personally see every inch of Karls establishment is scrubbed from top to bottom nightly. No we aren't related but annoyed that someone could write a flippant untrue comment about the two shops!!!!!!

“Best avoided”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2011

This is a very poor quality chip shop. Dreadful smell of old cooking oil from both chip shops which is very off putting in the shop and the food. There isn't a quality Fish and Chip Shop in Prestatyn which is a shame as people have to travel to Rhyl. Karl's should step up and set the standards.
