We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime in April. We had a pre-dinner sherry and were offered a gorgeous selections of chefs canapes while we looked at the menu's. We could have had the Sunday lunch but instead decided to order from the a la carte menu as my husband really fancied the scallops starter.
The restaurant is beautiful on a Spring day and the staff were helpful without being obtrusive. We were served a basket of home made breads while we waited for our starters and we chose a lovely bottle of wine from a very reasonable priced wine list. We were served a yummy chef's appetiser and we knew we were going to be in for a treat!
Every course we ate was beautifully presented and the flavours were amazing! The portion sizes were generous which you don't always expect in a Michelin Star restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and it is well worth the drive to eat at this fantastic restaurant. We just wished we had booked to stay the night too!
