If you love to be pampered, indulged, spoilt and enjoy the finer things in life then make sure you visit this hidden beauty....We went for one night in early January for a chill out and it felt like we had been away for a week. Go on enjoy x

The food here is certainly very good, sophisticated and ambitious on our visit (if not quite as good as I remembered from the same team's previous restaurant in London). The staff too are good -- friendly and very professional.

It's perhaps not quite as good a place to stay, though, as it is to eat. The room we had was certainly a good size, but the fittings are all a bit dated, and the decor (especially the art) lacks character and focus. The grounds are lovely though, and the location fine: all in all, well worth a visit, especially if you are mainly after the food.

Really nice family run hotel in a great location. Rooms are lovely with lots of little extras and BIG mugs for a well earned cup of coffee after walking in the wonderful countryside. Lots of magazines and info around. Went mainly for the food and the starter was one of the best I have ever had - veal sweetbread. Superbly cooked and presented. Every mouthful was a close your eyes and dream experience. Would go back just for that. Have to say though I was very dissapointed to be offered chips and salad with my steak at this standard. Not expected at all. Kind of spoilt the whole feeling of being in a 5 star restaurant. Other than that a superb meal and great service. Always nice to see the owners on hand. You could feel the warmth and passion that they exude in everything they do. With more money spent on less chintzy furnishings this could easily become a superb destination hotel to rival some of the best in the country. Just no chips or salad please no matter how much you think the local oldies want it - no one else does.

My boyfriend and I chose Tyddyn Llan for our Valentine break in 2004. We were 'almost' late for dinner on the Friday night but were made to feel most welcome and the food, once we were in the dining room - was superb! Luckily we were there for two nights (phew!)and the second night (Valentines) certainly did not disappoint. Fab Food, great atmosphere and welcome, and lovely bedroom. We recommended to friends - who attended one of their wine tasting evenings later in the year, and they could do nothing but gush about it ... definitely one not to miss!
