“Left without a booking”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

Had an email today that they are not able to honour the booking I made on 5th Feb 2013 for a stay starting 24th June 2013 due to retirement. At the time of booking there was no indication they were selling the business and that this could happen. It is less than a month to go and now our holiday has to be replanned :(

Overnight stop at this luxurious B & B did not disappoint. Room 3 with its Turkish Steam shower was a real treat, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast with eggs from their own hens, homemade marmalade etc, bara brith in bedroom on arrival. Easy walk to The Toad restaurant for an excellent dinner. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 3 for the Turkish Steam shower, it's wonderful!

My husband booked this for one night for my birthday & it was a wonderful place.
We stayed in the luxury king size room & it was lovely. The room was top quality for its decor & fixtures/fittings. We never got chance to use the whirlpool bath but it looked very inviting. Thought it was a lovely touch that there was a fridge in the room with complimentary bottles of water, plus fresh milk & tea/coffee making facilities.
We were the only ones staying that night and the breakfast the next day was fit for a King & Queen, the dining room was gorgeous. There was everything you could possibly want for breakfast- fresh hot croissants, fruit salad, cereal, yogurts, fruit etc plus then a full cooked Welsh breakfast which was delicious.
The owners were very accommodating & welcoming, and we definitely would stay again, probably in the mid-summer so we could make use of the lovely outdoor swimming pool.
Location was great- close to Llandudno & Conway, and the Welsh Mountain zoo was about 2mins away by car.
This B&B is certainly a 5-star, would have loved to stay a bit longer. Couldn't fault this place at all.

I've stayed twice and both times the owners couldn't have been lovelier.
As for the beds. I didn't want to leave them and wanted to smuggle them out.
Loved the superior room. Very good value, and the breakfasts were lush.
It was like a Major hotel chain and a nice quiet ambience.
Thank you.

We stoppped here for just 1 night on 29/1/13 whilst on a quick visit to the area. We found the Rathlin Country House on Laterooms. Very easy to find we arrived just after 1pm to a warm welcome and we were quickly shown to room 2. We were asked if we needed any information about any attractions/places to eat etc, a nice touch. On first impressions this hotel is quality from top to bottom. Solid fixtures, a fridge in your room, underfloor heating in the bathroom, a jacuzzi corner bath, robes and a massive bed led to a wonderful nights sleep. We stop in alot of hotels worldwide and can honestly say we have never stopped in one so quiet before. Fantastic.
Breakfast on Wednesday morning was to order and was hot and freshly cooked. The owners of this small hotel, only 3 rooms, know their trade and should be very proud of the hotel and service they provide. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

My partner treated me for my birthday and we stayed for two nights from 25 - 26 January 2013. What a gorgoeus B&B! Very warm welcome, lovely room with hydro/chromatherapy bath. And complimenatry bara brith and fresh coffee! Beautifully immaculate and cosy room with very comfy bed. Did not want to get up in the morning but had to for the delicious vege breakfast, made to order. With freshly baked croissants, freshly baked bread, home made jam and scrambled eggs from their own hens. Beautiful surroundings, we went to the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is just up the road and had a great time meeting the tiger, meerkats and sea lions to name but a few. A fabulous birthday weekend treat in a beautiful B&B. Thanks to Marion and her husband for your warm hospitality.

EVERYTHING about this truly wonderful place is a complete and utter joy. Spotlessly clean, warm, cosy, outstanding. Exceptionally welcoming and friendly, just the best. Our second stay in room 3, and it WILL NOT be the last. Worth every penny and miles to travel there, truly truly wonderful.
