Once upon a time there was plenty to do in Eirias Park. It was once home to the legendary Dinosaur World, a pitch and putt golf course, a boating lake and somewhere deep in my memory I seem to remember a penny arcade (although that may be a figment of my imagination). It also used to occasionally host Radio 1 roadshows. These days there's very little left. The kids play area is great if you're aged under eleven and the boating lake does sometimes have a couple of pedalos bobbing about on it but I've no idea how, or even if, you go about hiring one as there's never any sign of activity in the boathouse. There is a skatepark although that's a bit out of the way and again only really of interest to younger persons. Otherwise there's just a lot of grass so it's a great place to exercise the dog, or the kids, but otherwise it's a bit dull and crying out for new attractions.
