We ate here after doing a google search for somewhere to eat near Conway - we were warmly greeted - the choice was good and the food was served quickly and service was good. We ate outside - it's a lovely setting - good result google

“Very Relaxed and great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

We came across this wonderful pub whilst looking for somewhere to eat locally to Abergele where we were staying. The reception was wonderfully friendly and we were made very welcome. The food we had was to a very high standard and one of the party proclaimed that his roast lamb was the best he had ever had. The total bill was very reasonable and we would thoroughly recommend this pub to all.

“A breath of fresh air”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014 via mobile

Was totally fed up by the 'gastro pub' offering in colwyn bay so tried the white lion on the off chance. So glad we did. A really wonderful experience. Made me want to return nightly! The food was delicious but what made it for us was the atmosphere. Truly magical; try it yourselves. You won't be disappointed if you like a really 'local' feel with friendly reception and live music. The epitome of a perfect night!

“Wonderful little pub...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

The owners are always on hand to ensure the experience you have is a pleasant one. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is relaxed and most enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff or owners not so you return but because this is what they are about. Lovely friendly people. The menu is varied and price range to suit all. Its good value for money and often you will find the owners supporting a charity or local groups and live music is often present. If it is a birthday meal your treating someone to and you want to surprise the birthday person Simon the owner with a bit of warning has been known to trumpet happy birthday to them. I have never heard of so many ways for happy birthday to be trumpeted its a magical place. There is an open log fire for the winter months making it cosy and there is an outside eating area.

“Off the beaten trail but authentic!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

We ventured up the small road to this Inn based on the good reviews and we were happy we did. Great food, reasonable prices and a solid local experience. We could tell that there were many regulars there and the owners made us fit in well with good service and friendly advice about the area. Not a huge menu and they do not open for dinner till 6pm most nites but worth the wait!
