“Booked in and booked straight out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW via mobile

Booked in for two nights using a coupon, very cheap, but room stank. Asked for another room and it was just as bad. The desk clerk even said the smoking will come through the AC, why put us there??? Have stayed at Quality Inns for the last two nights and now I don't believe we will stay with them again.

Checked in on Thursday and stayed the night. Go out to get lunch the next day and we're locked out of our room. The front desk said we were confirmed as a no show the day before when WE STAYED THE NIGHT. I've never had worse front desk service. I called down for towels and toilet paper later that afternoon because room service didn't know we were here. The front desk replied "Yeah if I can get to it." What?? Other than the WORST FRONT DESK SERVICE EVER, the room was spacious, the beds were comfy, but the bathroom sink had gunk built up in it. 4/10 overall. Would likely not stay there again

Rooms are old, smelly, lots of noise from the inner yard, average breakfast.

Price is good, so if you look for a place to put your head for a night, its fine, not good for a long stay,

Walking distance from Sun Studios.

I reserved on line from a website that featured Beale Street Hotels. This hotel is way too far away to count as being close, definitely not walking distance.
Must have picked a bad night to choose to be in Memphis. The motel was full of young, loud people much more interested in having a good time than sleeping. A call to the office at 1:00 a.m. did nothing. A second call at 1:30 eventually got the point across as the loud music and raucous behavior subsided at about 2:00.
The room was acceptably clean but being in close to proximity to "party central" left a negative feeling.
Do not choose this hotel.

There were problems with the cooling systems. When checking the filters they were dirty. After switching rooms, the stay was ok.the maid even offered a fan until the room cooled off. She was very nice.

Room Tip: The rooms up front are quieter.

Rooms were updated and remodeled. This hotel was about 10-15 min.driving distance to downtown Memphis/Beale Street. Property was well lighted and had a security patrol on duty. In the medical/university area of Memphis. Not a fancy hotel, but definitely worth the price. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Will return to this property.

Room Tip: Nonsmoking room did not smell like smoke.

We arrived quite hopeful based on prior reviews. I'm a stickler for clean and saw many of the prior reviews mentioned cleanliness of this hotel. Either we stayed in different rooms, they were biased in their opinions (employees or otherwise compensated), or they have much different standards. The room was not clean. The floors appeared to be mopped with either Crisco or canola oil because they were so slippery. The corners of the room, bathroom and sink area had dirt in them. The floor boards and chair rail were dirty as well as the door around the handles on both sides. There were no outlets in the desk area to plug in devices and work. I had to stand with my computer on the microwave to work. The high speed internet connection was high speed in the 90s, not today. The TV did not work and when my husband called to let them know, especially so we wouldn't be charge for the prior damage the desk clerk offered to replace it only to tell us later that she couldn't, but could change our rooms. We had already unpacked and were unwilling to change. When assigning our room the clerk said our room number aloud at least 5 times. This is a huge security issue and clerks should never say a room number aloud when speaking to a guest who is checked/checking in. Additionally, it was incredibly noisy and when the clerk came to our room to take care of additional issues she asked to step in because it was so noisy outside she couldn't hear (another complaint we shared with her). The towels had dirt stains on them. There were no wash clothes. In the morning when our daughter pulled back her sheets she found black marks on them as if they were urn over by a wheel or some other item. Furthermore, when my husband went to the car in the morning he saw a couple ladies with stilettos leaving rooms and entering cabs. Feel free to infer what you will. We wish we could have enjoyed our time in Memphis much more. I will say that the desk clerk did everything she could to help out our situation. However, I would avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!!
