“Worth your time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was very impressed by the hummus, schwarma but mostly the soup (highly recommend the Moroccan soup). Also, a must try is the owners fathers olive oil imported from Israel for the restaurant.

“Greek restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Good greek food for medium prices with excellent service. All our appetizers, entrees, and desserts were perfect. Their tea is a local favorite and is good hot or iced! There were 7 of us.

“So yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

While in town visiting friends, I really enjoyed a meal at Casablanca. We began with the spicy feta cheese sauce dip. The pita chips were so good! I had the Egyptian Hawawshi as my main entree - so yummy. The portions were great and I really enjoyed the ambiance.

“Poor greeting service and awful food, Poplar location.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

There is no hostess stand or anyone to greet or seat you. They do not take American Express. After entering the restaurant, two employees looked our way and walked off without a smile, wave, or greeting. I should have left then, because it only got worse. Water was awful tasting, and they had no lemons to help it out. No alcohol served here. Moroccan soup was very bland and runny. The entree Lamb sandwich, which was recommended by the waitress, was horrible. I had a piece of bone in my meat and ran into several pieces of grizzle/fatty material. I had ordered hummus, to share with my business partner, and we never recieved it. His sandwhich was equally bad. We left there and went elsewhere to eat something and wipe this place from our memory and taste buds.

“Excellent Middle Eastern Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

The best Middle Eastern food I've had anywhere. Been following this restaurateur around Memphis since his early days on Echols St. Had just about everything on the menu. All excellent including the tea. Even the rice is outstanding. Falafels, shawarma, moussaka, gyros all great. Generous portions. Make sure you ask for both sauces-the green one is hot. Leave room for chocolate mousse-it's fabulous and enough to share. Would've given 5 stars but can be a bit inconsistent: once or twice service wasn't up to par & meat was dry-maybe overcooked. But I go there often and those times have been few. Haven't been to new location in Cordova.
