A fantastic hotel with 'some' excellent staff (Ted & Mike). The room was excellently appointed (Room 322) although the constant hum of the air conditioning unit mounted somewhere above the room was very irritating!!!
The cocktails in the 'Little Bar' were excellent:)
We enjoyed Great food in Paulette's Restaurant 2 nights running.
Things went well until during a storm we had a power cut. In the Morning fire exits were the only way of exiting building but with no lighting this proved a highly dangerous decent.
Having made our way to the restaurant (Admittedly we didn't expect a full breakfast) we found the Manager and staff in a state of shock, heads in hands waiting for power to come on...
No effort had been made to lay on the most simplest of breakfasts - although milk and cereal were in the kitchen NO emergency torches were available so the staff refused to serve. Equally despite coffee shops having power less than 2 miles away no effort was made to bring in coffee. Poor / No organisation in the face of adversity!!
In summary a great hotel that could really blossom under Management that really cared about customer service and satisfaction .
