On a trip by car from Washington DC to Memphis, we stayed at eight different Best Western motels and hotels. This was by far the worst of the lot. We had booked in advance and stood to lose our deposit otherwise we would probably have gone elsewhere having been greeted by the depressing reception area, overpowering smell of cooking curry and having to ring a bell several times to get any attention from a reluctant receptionist. The elevator was scruffy, but to be fair the room was clean and well-enough appointed, although at lunch time curry fumes percolated up from the reception area below.
Breakfast was minimal in a very small room. Another guest said "Best Western should be ashamed of this place!" There was no coffee. Vigorous ringing of the bell eventually secured the attention of the reluctant receptionist, who said that it might take some time.
Do not be fooled by the blandishments in the advert which state that the location provides easy access for the sights of Memphis. It is 10 miles out of the city along a very congested freeway.

Worst Best Western experience EVER!!!! The room was clean, that's about the only good thing I can say. Very expensive for what you received. Two towels, three people, and like the previous reviews, shampoos and soaps were rationed. When we left for the day, housekeeping came in and turned our air 10 degrees higher, when we got back the room was unbearable! Breakfast? I don't know where to begin, the "dining area" is not even the size of a room. Coffee was weak, looked like tea, waffle batter was soured, gravy was like water, and warm at best, biscuits were left from day before (I saw them in the bin as I was checking in.) Tator tots were probably from the day(s) before, dry and tasted old, and the sausage (the only other "hot" food) was terrible. They did have orange juice, and a gallon of milk in the small refrigerator. There was a big sign reading "Food is to be eaten in lobby only." Will not only never go back, but would be embarassed to recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Very disappointed.

We saw the pictures and thought this would be a great place to be. We were VERY VERY Wrong. Dirty room, dirty sticky floor, everything smelled like smoke. This was the worst hotel I've stayed in all my life. STAY AWAY!

I was really impressed by the clean and updated rooms and grounds---Our stay was great with no problems---The staff was very nice and helpful----The breakfast was nice-----The rooms were huge and very modern -----You couldn't ask for a better deal-----The price was very fair---I'll stay there again the next time we're in Memphis, and I'ld highly recommend this site---
