We had a couples getaway in Memphis recently and stayed at the Hyatt Place for a few days. Overall, we were very happy with the experience. The rooms were decorated tastefully, the staff was very pleasant and the rate we received (around $100 I think) seemed very reasonable for a Hyatt.
Can't really complain about our experience. However, one suggestion. We asked for a recommendation on a place to go have a drink nearby, and a couple of the places on their list were closed (as in out of business). It wasn't a huge deal. We just found some other places on our own. Otherwise, really had a pleasant stay.
If this matters to you, the hotel is not as large as some other Hyatt's. More along the lines of a Holiday Inn Select, etc. in terms of size and they did not have a hotel restaurant or larger common areas. That did not matter to us. It has more of a boutique hotel feel. Also, the hotel has a good free hot breakfast and a great outdoor pool. It is within walking distance of several restaurants and would be solid choice if you're in Memphis for business or pleasure.
