“Docent tours are the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Check their schedule and take a docent-led tour. These tours are fascinating and fun. I have been and have plans to go again. I recommend this to all my friends.

“Unexpected oasis with fascinating history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful and full of history, the Elmwood Cemetery should not be missed! We spent about 2 hrs driving around, stopping periodically to walk around and take pictures. The myrtle trees were in bloom and gorgeous.

Make sure your cd player has a pause button (our rental car didn't have one, so we used a computer)

“Amazing sense of history, serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

As a fan of memento mori, this cemetery is a classic example of 19th century and earlier statuary, sentiment, and civil war history. Beautiful memorials, touching. We were the only ones there for two hours.

“Interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Not sure why this is such a big attraction, but we drove thru, just out of curiosity. The roll-top bathtub graves were something new to us, and there are other interesting headstones here. We didn't do the audio tour, but thought it was an interesting place anyway.

“This is at step way back in the past.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

It has been several years since I have been there, but I still remember the tour. It honored the people from the Civil War Era. I forget the dates that this is done, but well worth going to.
