“Great tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2011

The $10 CD tour available at the main building is great. There is lots of interesting info, it is fairly easy to follow the instructions ( we screwed it up a few times), and some good music with a strong narrator. It takes about an hour and it is worth it to see this ascetically gorgeous place.

“Intriguing Memphis Stories”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011 via mobile

Great stories behind the tombstones-a unique way to spend an hour in the car. Be prepared to stop and do some reversing but as a tip, get one person to navigate and the other to drive. Look for the Audio Tour Stop signs and listen to the directions. It really helped us understand the city when we went on other tours, saw street names etc.

“very informative!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

it was very cool how you can rent a cd for 10$ from the little store there and give yourself the tour of people buried there, from your car! we grabbed some snacks for the car ride - and toured around in there for about an hour listening to all the old stories of memphis, it was very cool!! Worth checking out!

“Historical and Interesting Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

I get the feeling this isn't one of the more publicized attractions, like Graceland, or Beale Street, in Memphis, but it was worth seeing. For $10 you purchase an audio CD which leads you through the cemetary, in your car, pointing out different graves and telling the stories of the people who they belong to. While there are so super recognizable famous names, there are some pretty cool stories behind the characters, and the cemetary itself was beautiful. It was a nice sight to stop and see during the heat of the day, especially when you can do it from your air conditioned car.
