“Waste of tome”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2014

Not really with the time or the money. There are better things to spend $10 on than seeing 2 rooms of not that interesting artefacts. Peer through the window for no cost & it will be the same experience.

“A quick visit that turned out much longer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2014

When we went there only a handful of others had done the same.
Highly educational and the exhibits cleverly put together.
Please don't miss this little gem and give yourself a couple of hours to do it justice. We were amazed so many locals had not even heard of it!

“Small museum, very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2014

Located in the heart of downtown and near the great Mississippi River, the Exchange shows the life of a slave cotton picker and how hard they worked to bale cotton. Invention of the cotton gin and the weaving of cloth all add up to a nice tour.

“Well Done Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2014

Being raised on a cotton farm I did enjoy this museum. Very informative and great presentation. Young children would probably find the museum boring but us mature kids loved it.

“Cotton Exchange Bldg/Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

What was once THE Cotton Exchange Building is now the Cotton Exchange Museum. The original buy/sell floor is there with the chalk walls and teller windows. The original "phone booths" have been turned into informational history videos. You "feel" like you are there ... back in history. (I learned they played Dominoes while waiting at the exchange.)There are many displays, original doors, weights, etc. WE spent several hours there ... just to take it all in. The farming/growing of cotton has come a LONG way. Researchers are constantly at work with cotton. The Cotton Museum is a MUST to see in Memphis TN.
