On the old trading floor of the Cotton Exchange Building is the Cotton Museum. This museum tells the "story of the cotton industry and its many influences on the daily left, arts, and development of the Mid-South region." While the exhibits were fascinating, the many videos available for viewing really did an exceptional job of telling the role of cotton in Memphis. The museum floor space is relatively small, but in that small area is packed a wealth of information. Persons interested in history, social issues, race relations, business, and agriculture will find a visit to this museum rewarding. We spent two hours in this museum and could have stayed longer.
