My husband and I were skeptical when we read about the ducks marching at the Peabody Hotel, so we popped over for a look. When we arrived at a quarter to 5, people were already stationed near the fountain and along the staircase and balconies on the second floor. We found ourselves a spot and waited for the ducks. The introduction was rather long-winded, but when the ducks started marching and moving around the fountain it was wonderful to behold! It must have taken a great deal of training to teach several ducks to move in a synchronized manner, and for that alone it is worth a visit. The Peabody Hotel itself is also very nice, with old-world charm and elegance. Grand old hotels like this are getting fewer and fewer, so soak up the ornate architecture and lavish interiors.
