The Little Tea Shop is a true dining gem in Downtown Memphis. This historic restaurant -- it's been around since 1918 -- is open for lunch only during the week. I have worked in downtown for a couple of years now and finally just visited for the first time today. It is a country cooking place. I ordered a pan pie which is just like a chicken pot pie except the veggies were truly fresh. This is a typical meat and two home cooking place. The owner is great. She seems to know everyone by name. I had read a restaurant review in the local paper about it and it said this is truly the place where the city's movers and shakers go. Well, while there I saw a current judge and the city's CVB director. This does seem to be a meeting place of downtown's prominent individuals. The food is great. Only downfall in my opinion is they don't take credit cards.
