“Finally good pizza downtown!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint! The service was fast and friendly, and the pizza was excellent! There is a nice atmosphere inside, and a great patio. I will definitely return so that I can try more of their pizzas!

“Good pizza. Nice outdoor seating.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Good variety of pizza. Not all the normal meat loaded, heavy cheese, and grease of most pizza places.

“Recommended”

This new place has a great downtown location on South Main. The outside dining area is quite large and provides a good place to view the passing pedestrian, horse drawn carriage, and trolley traffic (Main Street is closed to cars). The patio area is shaded and there a large fans that provide a constant breeze for diners. This should be a real plus during our broiling summers.

There is a very large selection of imported and domestic beers (both bottle and draft), along with a nice selection of wines. The menu includes a large selection of appetizers, salads, and specialty pizzas. One can also "Build Your Own" pizza with a large selection of toppings. we had the Vodka Pie, which may have been the best pizza I've ever eaten. It is offered with additional toppings, but the plain was heavenly. We also Had one of their other specialty pizzas. The toppings were all fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly.

When downtown, this place really needs to be tried. It won't disappint.

“Pizza To Die For”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Best Pizza I have had other than in Rome which could have something to do with that location and atmosphere. Trendy location on main street in memphis with only pedistrian traffic allowed. Sampled the T-Rex which is load of different meats- Meatball, pepperoni, & sausage. The crust is crisp and thin and the tomato pizza sauce is outstanding. Have also tried the Vodka cream sauce Pizza which has a wonderful taste as well. The caesar salad is an good start for the meal. Fresh romaine lettuce, large portion, with an excellent dressing.
On my my most recent visit (I have made three trips to this restaurant over the past month), I also tried the Meatball sandwich. I would highly recommend.
Overall a really good Pizza, sandwich, salad, and beer restaurant with very reasonable pricing.

“Best Pizza Downtown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Aldo's has the same owner as Bardog. If you ever eaten at Bardog, you know that this is a good thing. I went to Aldo's for lunch with 10 co-workers. We got there early...around 11:15 and were seated right away. Glad we got there when we did, the place quickly filled up. We ordered a couple appetizers. They were all good, but our favorite was the peppers stuffed with goat cheese. The portions were big enough to share. Our pizza selection included four pies with various topping. The group favorite was the one with sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs. Again, if you've ever had the meatballs at Bardog, you will understand. The service was very good and the environment was relaxing and we were all able to converse with each other. It was one of the best group lunches we have had. With appetizers, drinks, and pizzas...our bill came to just under $15 per person which is very reasonable for a downtown eatery of this quality. They also have a special one slice and drink special if you are in a hurry or just don't want the whole pie. Seems like a great option. Many of us have already been back, and I would expect that we will continue to frequent Aldo's for lunch, but its also a great place for dinner when attending a downtown event.
