GREAT front-desk staff
Somewhat dated rooms (not a big deal)
I stayed here for 5 days in September of 2013.
The front desk was the nicest, most personable staff I've met in many years of traveling. They knew the "frequent visitors" by name, and even asked about their families, jobs, etc.
Several days, I had to be on the road by 4:00AM, and the front desk clerk let me grab a few items for breakfast 2-3 hours before breakfast was supposed to start. They even have New Castle Brown Ale in a tall-boy can! I've seen this twice in the past few years. Just to be clear, I didn't have beer for breakfast.
The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The appliances and features were older than some I've seen in comparable hotels, but this wasn't a big deal to me.
If I could recommend anything, it's upgrade the TV listings. It's 2013. Get HDTV channels. The channel listing in the room didn't match the TV, despite a printed note from the front desk apologizing for the updated channels. Again, not a big deal at all.
The location is great for working downtown and in the suburbs. But, the location is in a weird spot in/around a highway interchange. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you're not from the area.
Thanks for a great stay!
