I stayed at the Madison Hotel while on a road trip. We wanted to stay somewhere nice, and this was just the place. My boyfriend had stayed at the Peabody in Memphis a few years earlier and said this hotel was in a league beyond that.
Perhaps its because when you arrive the bellhops/valet gentleman are incredibly attentive and kind. The check in staff was amazing. When I checked in, they just had switched over to a new key-card computer system. I had to wait about an extra 10 minutes. Maybe. If that. And while we were having a hard time getting the keys made the staff was incredibly apologetic. Hey. No worries. Those things happen. Gotta work out the kinks.
We were upgraded to the presidential suite. After going up to the room and checking out the wonderment that the presidential suite entailed, I proclaimed to my boyfriend, "This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, or will stay in ever again. We peaked. It's all downhill from here". The hotel room was cleaned, everything was well stocked, the bed was comfortable. I don't sleep well as a rule of thumb; but I had NO problem falling asleep in that bed and on those sheets.
We checked out the bar on the top of the roof; what a cool place. We stopped in for a nightcap before heading to bed after being out on Beale street, and what a welcome change it was. The views were stunning, the staff amazing.
Well I be back? Without a doubt in my mind. From the room, to the staff, to the location, this place cannot be missed. Go here. Book it. Do it. Book the room .You know you want to
