Booked on a third party discount site. Arrived and two friends sharing who didn't want to share a bed were faced with a $30 'upgrade charge'. Not blaming the hotel, but feel that they should work better with their 'partners' to accommodate guests. $10.95/per night "resort fee" also seemed a bit much.
That being said... service was great. Had a drink on the rooftop bar, in near-freezing conditions, so we could see the view. Felt bad for the staff member manning the booth up there. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, polite and had solid recommendations. Valet parking made it easy to have a car in Memphis. Close to the trolley. All told... a gem.
Upgraded room was worth it. Very spacious.
Would stay here again, in a heartbeat.
