After reading the other reviews I wonder if were in the same hotel, We did ask to be moved because the first room had a strong order of paint and I knew I couldn't stay in there, they moved us up a floor to a larger room that also has been redone not long before we arrived, but the paint smell was gone, There was plenty of staff and they were very ready for our group, the hotel was full of Hot Rod People, because they blocked off Beale Street that night for a car show, it was a large event, The only problem I found was they were not prepared for all of us to leave at 7:00 AM the next morning and we wanted to have breakfast before we left. We got it on the way. When we left the hotel,we took the trolley to Beale street, our car had not been selected for the show and the hotel has underground parking and we had a great space, didn't want to give it up. It was a real adventure, as we were going along the Mississippi river the trolley caught on fire and we had to sit and wait for the repair people to come and replace one of the engines, we got to see the sun set over the Mississippi and it was really beautiful, we had not slowed down enough to enjoy just sitting and watching anything since we started on the tour 6 days before, they got us started and we continued to Beale Street and the Car Show and all the people from the Hot Rod Tour,I took great picture. Also all most everyone was last to the Drivers meeting the next morning, I don't know if it was the good beds in the Hotel or the draw of Beale St.
