It was our first stay at this Holiday Inn, my wife and I were looking at the downtown Memphis area or at another Holiday Inn closer to the airport, but my wife's cousin highly recommended this Holiday Inn at Wolfchase Galleria. I am so glad we booked a room at this Holiday Inn. It was originally built in 2009 so everything is fairly new and of new construction. We arrived early, and was quickly given our key cards to our room, hours ahead of our check in time and no lines. Maybe this is Memphis living? Our room had a window view, albeit the parking lot. Being from NYC, I was in eyeshot of our rental car. The king size bed was nice and comfortable. The flat screen TV was big enough to be viewed from all points of the room. It was very nice. The shower was a walk-in shower, plenty of instant hot water. Other amenities include, a small fitness area, located adjacent indoor pool. I consider it decent sized given the size of the hotel. One can definitely relaxed pool side and feel the warmth of the sun. Did I mention the free parking? That was a nice plus. The entrance way of the hotel was clean and the reception area was spacious as to not to feel closed in. Complimentary newspapers and coffee were available (gratis). We stayed 6 nights, overall it was an excellent stay with the exception of one night were they had a family reunion event where the music can be heard in our room. I thought there was a part in the next room? But I believe the event was being held on the ground floor. I was kind of surprised that the music can be heard on the 3rd floor where we were staying. Nevertheless, I contacted the front desk, and they assured me that the music would be turned off at 12 midnight. We would definitely book another stay at this hotel, as it was convenient to many stores and restaurants.
