“An entirely unique Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

The Museum is a good mix of the river life and some about the civil war. Well kept, well done.

But the model of the river is the highlight of the exhibit, and the reason I took my youth group kids there. They all seemed to like it.

It needs more shops, and is apparently not doing great, but I still enjoyed it.

We went in a group of 15, and they only charged us half price. Was very pleased with that.

If I lived there, I'm sure I'd go see it a couple times a summer. Probably the only place on the real river where you can watch both the river, and the model river go by.

“Lots of History!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We enjoyed Mud Island very much. The museum was interesting, and although we do not have small childred, they sure seemed to be having a good time. Great place for a family to spend some time and learn a few things in the process!

“Needed More Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

The park does a nice job of explaining Memphis's unique river history. Only wish we had left more time to enjoy all of it.

“A great under rated attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

We visited Mud Island this afternoon and were delighted. It is a very interesting venue with a delighful monorail which whisks visitors directly into the visitor centre. We paid the full ticket price which included the museum, which turned out to be one of the best we have visited this holiday. Very informative and interesting, with an audio guide throughout. The grounds are lovely and give wonderful views of the Mississippi. Good value and well worth the money.

“Almost lost in the more important sightseeing places”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

Very interesting well laid out you can walk over to mud island over the bridge or take the suspended railway. Very good feature is the miniature Mississippi River meandering through the site. The museum was of great interest, in fact we thought we would be in there half and hour or so but spent well over an hour. If you have the time you could easily take a picnic and spend the day on Mud Island.
