This is a super concept for a restaurant. I hope it catches on. For those of you who are like me and want to get the maximum picture of what a restaurant has to offer, Flight gives you the chance to really dig into their menu by offering sets of three different smaller portions, or "flights," of whatever it is that you are wanting to try (you can have a flight of appetizers, flights of soup, main dish flights, dessert flights, whiskey flights, you get the gist). You can get pre-made flights of food (a seafood flight, for example), or for a few dollars more, you can make your own flights. Now, fair warning, there's a reason this model works, and that's because you get flight-happy and before you know it, you will have spent a fortune! But the food was really good, the service was excellent, and the experience was incomparable. Plus, if you don't like one of the items you ordered, chances are you'll like the other two in your flight, so it's less of a risk! Also, I didn't like one of the items in my entree flight as well as one of the ones my boyfriend chose, so the waitress took it away and brought me something different, which I thought was really nice. One bit of advice, the outdoor seating is actually a lot nicer, in my opinion, than the indoor seating, and its pretty nicely heated if it's cold outside. But even with the outdoor seating, it's a pretty cramped space, so I wouldn't go there with romance in mind, because even outdoors the tables are crammed together (people at different tables ended up talking with each other just because you could hear everyone's conversations, which can be a turn on or a turn off depending on how intimate you were hoping your meal would be). I recommend warning them if you are going to be there with anyone that has difficulty maneuvering (wheelchair, walker, etc.). Also, for those of you who may be put off by the reviews saying the flight concept makes ordering too complicated, don't worry, you can just order one entree or one glass of wine. You don't have to order a flight.
