“Just didnt want to leave.”

My daughter has always been an Elvis fan so for her 40th birthday we couldnt think of a better way of celebrating than to come and visit with Elvis and his fabulous home. We stayed in Heartbreak Hotel - where else. The whole experience was fabulous from beginning to end. The staff at the hotel were most polite and helpful and couldnt do enough for you. We only had a standard room which was in fact a whole suite. We got a large bedroom with tv and bathroom. A small kitchen and a very large lounge with tv. In the lounge was a massive sofa bed. The beds were so comfortable we had the most fantastic nights sleep. The rooms were clean and looked like they had new carpets throughout. We couldnt wait to get down to breakfast (buffet style) which was fabulous-you could have as much or as little as you wanted. We went to Marlowes diner the first night and got picked up by a complimentary pink stretch limo. Great food and service. There is a complimentary shuttle bus to take you to Sun Studios. Tours cost $10 and well worth it. Have your picture taken with the actual microphone that Elvis used to make his first recording. The platinum tour around Graceland was well worth the money.
Take the free shuttle bus to Beale Street and experience the atmosphere, just about every bar and diner had live blues and jazz bands playing. Try barbeque ribs at BBKings diner. Take advantage of the gift shops very reasonable prices. Last shuttle bus back is 10.30pm. Take a trolley car ride in downtown Memphis, it only costs $1 per person and you can ride down the waterfront and in the town. Experience the fabulous Peabody centre. Take a trip down the mighty Mississippi on the Memphis Queen, enjoy the breathtaking views. Tour guides that know everthing and more about Memphis. Talk to the Beale Street shuttle bus driver who went to the same school as Elvis.
We cant wait to go back.

My husband booked 2 nights here based on the website and the pictures. He was disappointed. The pictures make it look a lot better than it actually is. (he wanted tacky, but fun) I am the big Elvis fan in the family. The room was basic with the only thing worth noting were the Elvis prints on the walls. Breakfast in the am, was nothing to write home about. Flavored creamers for my coffee made my day! None of the staff were cleaning the tables, so many were covered with leftover food. My biggest complaint was the 24 hour Elvis movies. They were fuzzy. I called and asked about this. They sent someone up within 10 mins. He was friendly and came with extra cable. In the end, he said that there wasn't anything he could do. They had everyone wired together and until the hotel fixed it with a better plan, it was going to stay that way. He said that female Elvis fans were gtting fed up with it. LOL! The front desk staff at check-in were very friendly and nice! Check out staff was annoyed, but not rude. If you are coming to Memphis, just to see Graceland (like we did), the hotel was ok. Walking over to see the Meditation Gardens at 7:30 (ended at 8:30 for us, be sure to check) was a plus. There were only 2 other small groups and we managed to work around each other to take pictures without getting in each others' way. Later on the tour, there was no way to take pictures without other people being in them. Finally, I was a bit spooked about the reviews on security. I never felt anything concerns. We went out for dinner by our car, but felt the property was secure. (there is a guard house)

I have stayed at the HH a dozen times(even when it was Wilson
World) and believe me it does not get any better. It is very basic
and the breakfast selection is very limited as is the menu at the
bar.I love the idea of Elvis films on tv all day & the large screen in the dining room & the fact that it is just across the road from
Graceland keeps me going back year after year. Please HH do
not get complacent make Elvis proud and smarten the place up.

I had the most wonderful time at this hotel. Any Elvis fan will LOVE it! It was very clean and very close to every single attraction. AWESOME! I would love to even LIVE there! A+
The best thing ever was that it is located at the end of Lonely Street!

Never - NEVER - have I been to, seen or stayed at a more pathetic place in my life! If incompetence, slow service, urination stains on your toilet seat when you check-in, spongy beds, linens like sand-paper, and a bunch of rediculous mullet-wearing fanatics praising Elvis is your style, reserve now! Given the choice, I volunteered to be stranded at the airport.

Our experience with this hotel was very dissapointing. The property is poorly maintained and dirty. One of the beds in our room looked as if the sheets had not been changed. There was no mattress pad and the plastic liner over the mattress was torn. The overall quality of the bedding was poor to say the least. The towels were also bad; very small with the consistency of sandpaper. The common areas, accept for the lobby worn and outdated. The continental breakfast was weak. The food was VERY basic and not very tasty. Bowls, plates and utensils were disposable. The tables were covered in loose cereal and small pieces of trash. Employees monitoring the breakfast were nowhere to be found. I think it's sad that Elvis's name is on this hotel. I'm sure he would be mortified.

I just got back from the HH and had such a great birthday. It was just fantastic. It wasn't the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed at but certainly the most fun! I met a lot of Brtis there and y'all do love Elvis. (I picked up a Southern accent while I was there.) Graceland was the best. We spent a half day there and another half day doing the planes cars and the rest. They just opened a new display called Sincerely Elvis that shows off 57 of the King's jumpsuits. It was very enjoyable. I have traveld extensively throught the US and the world and I always do a lot of research before I go anywhere. For me that is half the fun of traveling. There were mixed reviews for the HH, but mostly positive. If you love Elvis you will love it.
