“Where it all began...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

Great must see while in Memphis. This studio is small but packed with history. Elvis' first recording! If you are staying at the Graceland RV park or Heartbreak Hotel or anywhere near there, there is a free shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the studio, for free.

“Where Rock and Roll began.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

Good tour. Well worth the price. Very undistinguished building...the parking is accessible through the alley by the building. But everything is preserved as it was, and to stand in the recording studio where Elvis, Johnny Cash and other great musicians stood (and to hold the microphone they held) is more than worth the money.

“Short Duration but great history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

After giving some background Sun Studios, you get to see some of the relics from that era. You then go downstairs into the recording studio and get to stand in the exact spot where Elvis recorded and even take a photo with the microphone he used. Fun for not only Elvis fans but also for fans of rock in view of other artists who recorded at Sun Records

“Rock & Roll Right In!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Memphis visitors have to stop at Sun Studio. This tiny building brought forth some of the greatest sounds our country will ever know. The recording studio where the King of Rock & Roll cut his first vinyl is a national treasure. The merchandise is a bit pricey but the denim shirts with the Sun logo are top quality and catch the attention of people outside of Memphis. It certainly is a thrill to stand a place where the icons of our music's birth once stood and brought forth the sounds that so many millions still love today.

“The Birth Place of Rock 'n Roll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Sun Studio was not in our planning when we arrived in Memphis but once we knew that was where Elvis recorded some of his biggest hits (That's All right Mama)...it was on a shuttle and off to the Studio we went. We were not disappointed. Our tour guide was articulate, knowledgeable and passionate. The tour follows the story of Sam Phillips and the start of his dream...through to rock'nroll legends Elvis, Ray Orbison and Johnny Cash. You get to hang out in the recording studio and take photos holding the mic used by Elvis! Wonderful place.
