“Graceland Review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Anyone who is an Elvis fan needs to visit Graceland. It's like a time capsule. It's been pretty much frozen in time since the days when Elvis lived there. Besides the house, some newer exhibits have been added. There's a garage of Elvis' cars. There's a walk through exhibit of some of Elvis' costumes, gold records, etc. that is very interesting. Of course, Elvis and his beloved mom and dad are buried at Graceland. Visitors will not be disappointed.

“Exceeded Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

I love Elvis but I had heard this was 'tacky' so didn't know what to expect. I travelled with my husband and friend ( not big Elvis fans) this tour was amazing. We did the platinum tour, were given headsets, put on a bus and taken to the house where we spent around an hour to two hours wandering the house and grounds including the memorial garden and his grave ( very emotional) after that we did the other parts of the tour seeing lots of other stuff. Thoroughly enjoyed this, it was well orchestrated, good value for money and a great day out for everyone.

“The King of Rock & Roll”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

Amazing to visit Elvis' home. Beware, however, that the on-site staff is hostile. Not all of the people who come to Graceland are awful obnoxious tourists- some of us are tenderhearted fans that never thought we'd ever come to visit, but were somehow lucky to get there after years of working hard and saving. The employees in the house need MAJOR customer service training ASAP.

“Worth visiting Once”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We made a special trip to Graceland to see Elvis's home, planes, cars and gravesite. It's worth making a trip to see it once. We loved the car museum the best and enjoyed the photos and stories behind them. They don’t show you the entire home, but it’s still worth being able to see what is on the tour. The gravesite was very sad to see, but also peaceful. Once Elvis became famous it’s hard to imagine what he went through in not have a private moment to himself. Overall, we really enjoy it.

“It's quite pricey but there's a full days worth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

I doubt that my review will hang round for long but this is a must see in Memphis, and probably why most people will go, but a couple of points to make.

I have seen plenty of reviews that say that the neighbourhood is terrible - we didn't see any sign of this and there are plenty of people about..

The parking is steep at $10, but apparently the nearby strip malls are free but there are reviews saying their car was broken into, so maybe the fee is worth paying, OR, if you've downtown, get the Sun Studio shuttle from the Stax Museum or other drop off and that's free!

So, for the exhibits, there's plenty of them and you can easily spend a day here. So it probably does justify its price.

The tour of the house is relatively short, but we weren't rushed through and this does seem to give an idea of the actual person, then there are other exhibits just to drive in to you how amazingly successful he was.

Take your time and enjoy it, we are far from Elvis nuts but we were entertained all day and so many souvenir shops to look round - I love them! If you have a spare $2,000 maybe you could buy your own jumpsuit...
