I have been an Elvis fan since 1956. To visit Graceland has been on my "bucket list" for some time. It was worth the effort on my recent cross country road trip, but I can't say the same for the price. Parking across the street from Graceland is $10 - there is no other free place to park. Then the admission charges. One charge for just the house, and other charge for the house and the planes, yet another for the full tour including the house, the planes and the cars. If you go all in for the "VIP" tour it is $72 per person! There are no tour guides. For your money you get a set of headphones to listen to pre-recorded messages at each stop. There are however "guards" everywhere. The mansion tour only included the downstairs, and the little office building that Vernon Presley - Elvis's father - used fro his office. You also get to see the racquetball court which now house many of Elvis's costumes and awards.
I am glad I visited Graceland, but I am sorry my visit cost more than I paid to see Elvis in person when he was alive.
