“Stay every year for the St Jude Memphis Marathon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

This is the 10th year we have stayed here. nine of my family go and are very happy with the easy access to the trolly and easy walking distance to Auto Zone Park, Cook Convention Center, FedEx arena, Beale Street, Peabody Hotel to see the ducks and the beautiful Christmas decorations. The biscuits and sausage gravy are the best. It is nice to see the same staff year after year. Earlene and Christie at the registration desk are always very pleasant and the breakfast hostess Evelyn is so cheerful. Will keep coming back.

Room Tip: If you are planning on staying at this hotel for the St Jude marathon, you need to book early as res...

fantastic stay at the hotel. Great value for money. Very central for getting around and close to Beale Street, easily walked to. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Two large queen sized beds, which was very comfortable. Loved our ime in Memphis

So we were so excited we booked our room with 2 queen beds and read all the rooms are on floors 9 to 15 (1 to 9) is parking , but No the rooms on floors 9 to 15 are only two DOUBLE beds. on floor one theres like 5 rooms with queens. so we were stuck on the bottom floor with NOOOO view at all ;( decent rooms, great price, pretty close to DT.

Room Tip: Book a room w/ TWO DOUBLES even if you like queens, it will be a better room

Had a great time here, rooms very nice, breakfast fantastic, 2 min walk to Trolley to take you to Beale Street and Lorraine Motel, Peabody Hotel etc or you could walk to most places. All day pass $3.50. Very nice view overlooking the Memphis Bridge and Pyramid, Staff very friendly, free tea and coffee all day and cookies at 3pm! Main Street very safe and picturesque. Would highly recommend for price.

Room Tip: Ask for view of bridge

I reviewed this hotel once before, I had to do it again to say it's still outstanding. The location is great, rooms are great, the staff is great, $8 a night to park is great, and the breakfast is fantastic. They even added NBC Sports Network to the available channels on the TV, so that addresses the only "complaint" from my previous review. Keep up the good work!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean except, and this is not a complaint about the housekeeping staff in any way, but the tiles in the bathroom were badly mildewed. There is no ventilation in these tiny bathrooms. They need a power wash from time to time to get rid of it.
Otherwise I would definitely recommend this hotel.

arrived at the hotel 3hrs before check in.no problem, room was ready and the front desk person gave us the keys right away.the hotel is clean and very quiet.nothing flashy, pretty run of the mill, but the maid service was excellent, clean room and towels daily.the daily breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit, hot or cold cereals, bagels, make your own waffles, plus eggs and sausages.the best part was walking right outside to catch the trolley.for $1 you could travel down to beale st,or take the short ride on the riverside loop.if in the neighborhood make sure you stop at the blue plate cafe, nice menu and local art was all over the walls.quiet neighborhood felt safe walking around.
