“Stay At Staybridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Situated on Ridge Lake Blvd, the Staybridge Suites offer truly excellent value accommodation, the perfect place to stay for holiday visitors and business travellers alike. The suites have everything provided; each suite has a comfortable lounge with TV/internet, a kitchenette with large fridge freezer, cooker hob, microwave, toaster and cupboards full of plates, cups and glasses. The bedroom is a good size with a large double bed with crisp white linen and a choice of comfort pillows, a wardrobe, drawers, wash basin and TV plus a separate bath/shower/toilet. A tasty hot breakfast buffet is included in the lounge with a good selection of favourite breakfast dishes. Also included every weekday evening in the lounge is a welcome to all residents with wine, beer plus a delicious hot buffet with salads. Reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful for all administration requirements, information and directions plus the offer of the hotel’s transport to local destinations. Next to the reception is a larder for drink and food snacks plus small travel items and along the corridor is an internet room. For keeping fit there is a modern gym full of the latest equipment and outside a swimming pool with jacuzzi. Parking is free on the frontage. The Staybridge Suites are absolutely perfect for either an overnight stay or a longer visit to Memphis. Recommended.

I booked a room for my great aunt and uncle for their pull over on a trip to Branson, Missouri. Upon arriving she was greeted by the front desk representative Penelope. Penelope held her self in the utmost posture and spoke with knowledge of the hotel as well as the surrounding areas that would be beneficial to them. She took her time. She went above the call to print out a map and highlight their steps. I know it is hard to please my great aunt and uncle... somehow Penelope seemed to be the highlight of their stay. It really does make a difference in how the staff is...

It is great to hear that Penelope was such a shining star with your Aunt and Uncle. She is one of the most customer oriented team members I've ever had the pleasure of working with and it's nice to hear others feel the same. I hope your family had a great time with us and in Branson as well. Please keep us in mind if you ever need lodging in Memphis in the future. We'd love to have you join us. Thank you for taking the time to review your family's stay with us.

After a negative experience at another hotel, we moved to the Staybridge, staying six weeks for business -- and could kick ourselves for not selecting Staybridge first. Our experience here was outstanding: friendly and helpful staff; very sweet and accommodating housekeepers; excellent room (kitchenette with d/w, microwave, 2 burners, large fridge, cabinets, cookware; separate K bedroom; two flatscreens; ample bathroom space (sink area separated from shower/toilet; large closet); plenty of light from windows that opened; nice living and work space; sufficient a/c; and it was very clean and super quiet).

The location is perfect for traveling into Memphis or doing business in Germantown. It's situated in a business/hotel park, with easy access to the highway, within walking distance to shopping and eateries, and just a short drive to both upscale and everyday restaurants and shops. Forty-five minutes to Tunica. During our stay, guests appeared to be short- and long-term business folks and tourists, as well as some sports, education, and reunion groups.

The breakfast was satisfactory, with changing hot foods (eggs, sausage, bacon, hash, pancakes), very good fresh fruit, cereals, make-yourself waffles, pre-wrapped pastries, oats, bread, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee, milk. The evening social (M-Th) was a surprise, with a light entree (such as pizza, quesadillas, spaghetti), a side (often salad), beer, wine, pop. Attendants, both morning and evening, were pleasant. The dining area offered many tables, was generally kept clean, and featured a fireplace, several tv's, newspapers, local info.

The front desk area was simple but efficient. There's a little area to the side for purchasing snacks and sundries. The pool area was lovely and kept up well and the workout room was amply-sized with mirrors and newer equipment. There was at least one large meeting/gathering room. The laundry was great; six washers, six dryers, all free for guests. I liked the safe set-up of these amenities, spaced on the first floor within reasonable proximity of the front desk. Central elevators were quick.

Being subject to various guests at all times, no hotel can be perfect. Some glitches included a mix-up in our weekly housekeeping (which was remedied with a smile); really watery oats as well as sausage gravy (sacrilege!); some less-than-stellar attention to spills at the breakfast area. Parking was a bit odd (hotel-side spots were filled quickly, the overflow lot felt somewhat secluded) but it was perfectly acceptable to park in the well-lit lot of the adjacent restaurant. These items were no big deal and I could not see dinging off for them.

To the GM and Staff: After six weeks of observing your operations, it's obvious that your hotel has a set schedule for making sure that daily/weekly/monthly upkeep is completed promptly and that courtesy, cleanliness, and attention to the guest experience are the focal points. Thank you for making our six weeks so comfortable. Keep up the great work.

My trip was intended to be 2 days - ended up being 4. Staff was so helpful and welcoming throughout my entire stay. Very accommodating; the breakfast was great, the suite was spacious and clean and in a great location. I will return and would recommend to anyone traveling to Memphis, for business or pleasure, to stay in this hotel.

Stayed a few nights in August. Nice size rooms and very clean. Enjoyed the pool. We had to cut our trip short due to illness and the manager credited me back one night on my prepaid stay. I was so thankful. Highly recommend this hotel. I had to take one star away because of the breakfast we had was not very good. Maybe it was an off day. But overall, I would stay there again. The area around the hotel is very clean and quiet. We did not want to stay in the heart of Memphis and chose this location because it was in more of a business park but close enough to Beale Steet ( 20 min) and other attractions.

great room setup, we loved the suite and the kitchen/full size fridge (we saved a little $$ by taking out and eating leftovers), the bed was a little hard but it's a personal preference. The bathroom was a little worn out and the a/c in the room was not consistent. It would be hot/cold so it was not comfortable at times. Breakfast was good but it only starts at 7:30 am on the weekends. It was kinda late for us and there's a HUGE rush at 7:30-7:40. So you cannot find seats or they were having problems replenishing the food/drinks. If the breakfast is open earlier, you might not have such a big rush during that time, plus it will make us early birds happier. Location is ok, easily accessible by the highway on the southeast of memphis. Took us 30 mins to get downtown, and about 20 mins to graceland. I look at closer hotels but it was either more expensive or they don't have good reviews. Free laundry is a HUGE PLUS as well. we were wet from the rain, and it was nice to have clean/dry clothes. i would consider staybridge brands the next time we travel.
