“Very pleased with accomodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

Never having been to Memphis, we weren't too sure where to stay, but had read reviews on Trip Advisor, and decided to try it. Of course, there are good/bad "sides of town" everywhere, but when we got to our hotel and it was between two Marriott hotels - I figured we had made a good choice. We arrived before our check-in time, but the clerk, Vanessa, was very helpful. She gave us direcitons to the Rendevous (where we wanted to eat lunch) and said by the time we returned our room would be ready. When we returned, she remembered who we were and when we got to our room - we had been upgraded to a suite! What a nice surpise. The breakfast buffet was good - nothing elaborate, but they did have a machine where you could make your own waffles. We did find out if you want bread, english muffin, etc. for toast, you have to ask the hostess - for some reason they keep it behind the counter. All the employess we dealt with were very nice and helpful. The trolley ran behind the hotel - which was very convenient, however, we walked everywhere we went.

Very nice hotel right on trolly car route. Had corner room on top floor with view of park and trolly line. Very convenient walking to restaurants and Beale Street. Had king bed, vanity and sink outside of bathroom with shower only. Also had microwave and fridge. Only problem was spotty wireless internet especially during afternoon early evening. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Top floor facing trolly car line for great views.

I have all good things to say except one...ill save it for last because it wasnt a huge deal. The staff was so nice and very well mannered. They decor was really cool and i was inpressed with the breakfast area. Everything was clean and beautiful. We had no troble checking in or out. We asked for directions twice and both times were detailed and sucessful. I work in a hotel and am very critical..i was very impressed. However...for some reason they put us in a handicapped room..which would have been fine except it was right next to the breakfast are. So it was very loud in the morning which was unpleasant. That room was also really small. I would suggest getting your room on the second floor..away from noise. With that being said..they hotel was so great that it covered up the noisey morning :-)

Hotel was nice and clean. Stayed in a double bed room with 2 children. The room is small, but it was plenty big for the three of us. I love the walk in shower rather than the shower/tub combination. The room has fridge, microwave, and a safe. Beds were very comfortable, and we were given a room on the opposite of the trolley just as I had requested when reserving the room. Trolley service is right outside the hotel. We didn't use it to go to Beale St. because the weather was nice enough to enjoy the walk, only about 5 min. walk. There was a corner market even open at 11:30 after leaving Beale Street for late night snacks. Breakfast was good with several things to chose from, including hot and cold items. Felt perfectly safe outside of hotel at night, even with 2 kids at 11 pm. It was a bit difficult to find at first, only due to Mapquest directions being a bit off. Really enjoyed the stay here and getting to Memphis Zoo from here was super easy, only one turn to make and only about 5 min. away. Good value for the money in this area of Memphis.

Room Tip: Room on side away from trolley for less noise

Located in the main street trolley line, this hotel is perfect for visiting various Memphis attraction, including Beale St., the National Civil Rights Museum and others! The only "con" is that I would have preferred queen sized beds rather than the double beds provided. Rooms also have refrigerators and microwaves. In addition, there's a Walgreens conveniently located one block from the hotel.

Good location, easy 5 block walk to Beale Street and the trolley runs right by the door on Main Street. The lady at the front desk, Shannon, was about the nicest, friendliest person we have met on our trip. The room was fairly small, but clean. Breakfast in the morning was probably as good as we have seen on our trip. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Memphis and the sleep Inn was a good choice for us.

This hotel was convenient and a pleasant place to stay. We enjoyed our tour to Graceland and visiting Beale Street. We had a great time. The staff were especially friendly, especially the lady serving the breakfast. She was cheerful and fun to see each day. The rooms were very charming as well and comfortable.
