I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms was clean, amazing, spacious and the decor was very modern and beautiful. I liked eating at Jason's Deli and Cold Stone Creamry which is just around the corner. I high recommend staying at this hotel.

At the last minute, the family decided to leave the gloom and rain of Alabama and get real JN's Interstate BBQ in Memphis. The La Quinta Primacy Parkway property is in between downtown Memphis and Germantown Tennessee. This Hotel property is near Park Ave and Poplar Ave and has two shopping centers near it. Attractions close to the La Quinta are the following: Memphis Zoo, Beale Street, Memphis University Art Building, Mud Island Park, Graceland, Brooks Museum and the Mississippi River. The location, value price, security and the hotel not having a dog weight restriction or extra pet fees were all positives.
The hotel staff was great and the hotel must have been recently renovated because the hallway carpets looked extremely clean, the room had a 32 or 37 inch LCD tv,a single king bed with 4 pillows and a designer sunshade for the window that matched the new paintings on the wall. For $99 a weekend night which was the best value rate provided to us at the check-in desk that matched the online price, we felt luck to find this property. Some of the other hotels, suites, and inns had pet fees from $25 to $175. The room had wood floors by the door and in the bathroom. The heat and cooling thermostat was on the wall and worked extremely well. There was an extra long desk with multiple power outlets and an ethernet cord. On the first floor, there is a mini gym with a few pieces of equipment and a tv. Outside, there was a pool and a few sitting areas near the pool.
At night, I did hear a few frieght trains go by at night but that didn't stop this from being a great weekend. Finally, Memphis U won their basketball game and there seemed to be a lot of fans at the La Quinta and down on Beale St.

Great Hotel, I have stayed here many times. Only concern, on my last stay, in the key holder, there was a note about cars being broken into. Seems like a good area, chain restaurants near by and easy access to the interstate. I would highly recommend this hotel, just don't leave valuables in the car!
Oh my gosh! STAY HERE! This hotel was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. It is a little far from the downtown area for my taste, but based on the hotel condition and the rates, well worth the drive. We had an executive king and our room looked like it was brand-spanking new! The sheets were on the thin side, but they fit the mattress and never came loose. They also had a continental breakfast that a lot of hotels would envy. The staff on arrival and checkout were very accommodating. I'm not sure what the previous traveler was complaining about with the light coming in; there are shades that can be drawn to eliminate the light, however the room lighting with them drawn may have been a little dim for some people (maybe that's what they meant?).
When we come back to Memphis, we would like to stay a little closer to Beale Street (so as to not have to drive and park), but would not think twice to stay here again if there was nothing available in the downtown area at a reasonable rate.

Property is in a nice location near hospital and business parks. Close to Corky's, which is a big plus for you BBQ fans.
Elevator was nasty. Kick plates near bottom of elevator were really beat up and discolored. Hello.... Brasso!
We chose a king suite, which was located at the back of the hotel. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroon was great but toilet was loud. Double doors with glass panes separate living room from bedroom. There are no curtains, so if you are trying to block light out of the bedroom, or if you need privacy, you are in trouble. Door knob on double doors pulled off in my hand. Also, air conditioning unit in living area showed a lot of wear with broken plastic. Room was clean but kind of beat up.
Lastly, though this is not the fault of the staff... There is an incredible amount of train noise in the area... They blow their horns and come through at a high rate of speed, low rate of speed, back up, etc. Trains are probably half a mile away but are close enough to see from our window. Car alarm went off at 3:30 am and kept going for 10+ minutes. Again, this is not the staff's fault. I parked at the front of the property in full view of the hospital.
Again, great staff, but they need to improve on the little things and insulate the walls so that sound is not so loud inside the rooms.
