“Great stopping point on the Great Glen Way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We walked into the Glen Albyn Lodge after hiking in from Gairlochy. Our hosts welcomed us and being a wee bit tired at that point; they showed us the hot tub which was enjoyed immensely. Our room was very nice, very comfortable. We slept well that night and, in the morning we awoke to a very pleasant breakfast. The Glen Albyn Lodge is a perfect spot for stopping for a rest on the GGW trail. We recommend it highly.

I arrived at the lodge at the end of my first leg of the Great Glen Cycle Trek, my bike having broken down, my debit card lost and my confidence rattled. Dennis directed me to a gorgeous hot tub in the beautiful garden where I luxuriated while he "made a few calls". Subsequently he took me and the bike back to Fort Bill where Nevis Bikes fixed the bike on the spot (~5.50 PM!) and Dennis footed the not inconsiderable bill (later repaid!). He also drove me around Fort William looking for my lost card, before returning to the Lodge where Helen served up a delicious 3-course dinner.
I completed the Trek in fine style (despite all the hills!). This was a great start to an. immensely enjoyable adventure. Note also that the Lodge provided accommodation of the highest standard: elegant, immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. I will return with my family!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good!

If you are planning on walking the Great Glen Way, this is THE place to book on your Laggan stop-over. My sister and I stayed here and would highly recommend it. Dennis collected us from laggan, (at no extra charge), and took us back to Invergarry. One simply cannot fail to get along with Dennis! We pre-booked our evening meal here. The Bonnie Prince Charlie Chicken was fantastic, so tasty. The house is beautiful, inside & out. Although the en-suite was a little on the small side, everything was spotless & clean. No complaints at all, Dennis & Helen are perfect hosts.

This b&b was our base for four nights, whilst myself and my two biker buddy's toured round the very picturesque west coast of Scotland. We arrived late on Saturday evening to very warm welcome from Dennis and Helen.
The facilities were excellent with a large garage for us to store our motorbikes.
Food was great morning and evening.
We even had Dennis reminiscing one evening with a tear in his eye about back in the day riding around on his Honda 250 wet dream.
Would highly recommend staying here 5*****

We stayed in 5 B&Bs in Scotland this year, and this was the clear winner. Very helpful & welcoming hosts providing great breakfasts (with perfect porridge). Room & en suite was comfortable, with red squirrel visiting garden as added bonus.

After a long day walking the Great Glen Way Dennis and Helen made us feel most welcome.Although we are "hotel people" this was a most delightful establishment. Helen cooked us a beautiful dinner and then both our hosts joined us for a relaxing post-prandial chat.Breakfast was wholesome with haggis and black pudding(not compulsory) and Dennis then delivered us back to the Great Glen Way-a great stay.

This was one of our overnight stays whilst walking the Great Glen Way. Dennis and Helen are friendly and welcoming hosts and our room was comfortable and clean and we had an enjoyable breakfast before donning our boots for the next leg of our trek. There are not many options for dining out in the area so they do offer the choice of an evening meal although we did not partake of this as our friends had a car and we travelled off for a meal out.
