5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2010

Stayed at the Harbour lights guest house from September 2008 to January 2010 whilst working on the Stranraer Acamedy building project. Colin and Rhona made us feel like part of the family, nothing was too much trouble.Rooms where kept spotless and breakfasts were first class. Woundn't hesitate to recommend the Harbour lights to anyone. What more can I say Colin and Rhona are the perfect hosts.

Nick, Bangor N.Ireland.

My colleagues and I stayed at the Harbour Lights Guest House in Stranraer for 3 days in the begining of December. I can honestly say it was the best accommodation we have stayed in for a very long time. Rhona and Colin could not have ben any more helpful if they tried, the choice for breakfast was fantastic and all was cooked to order which meant it tasted great (not stewed). If my self or anyone I know need to stay in this area I would not hesitate to recommend the Harbour Lights to all and hope you, as I did, have a wonderful stay and enjoy the hospitality that Rhona and Colin have to offer.

Located very close to the ferry terminal and train station, this bed and breakfast is a great place to stay. Our room was adorable, very clean, and we liked the "extras" which included personal care products, cookies and bottled water along with the tea and coffee. Our room had a great view of the harbor. The hosts, Rhona and Colin, were very attentive and served fantastic breakfasts. We hope to return some day!

We just completed our second trip to the Harbour Lights Guest House in the past two years. Both times we've stayed for several nights. This is the best B&B I've stayed in in Scotland. Rhona and Colin are wonderful hosts. Their B&B is roomy, nicely decorated, and very clean. They are most accomodating to their guests. Breakfast is fabulous, as is the hospitality tray in the rooms. Read the guest books in the rooms--every comment is complimentary and lavish in its praise. Stay here!

This B & B is very good it is well positioned for all amenities and is very clean and comfortable, We were all made very welcome. Our room was on the second floor in the family room which was very spacious with two double beds in it. The bathroom ensuite was of a good size as well. The breakfast had everything that you could wish to eat and was delicous. We would definately stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Harbour Lights with my friend in Nov. 06 we had a fab time. Rhona and Colin made us feel very welcome the family room was very clean and the decor was to a very high standard. The facilities in the room were great and the ensuite bathroom was of a good size. The breakfast was second to none and there was everything you could possibly want to eat. After breakfast we strolled along to the ferry terminal and went across to Belfast for the day it was fun and stress free. Later on we went out for a few drinks in Stranraer and we found that everyone we met were really friendly. We would definately go back again. Loved it.
